Hester Peirce, commissioner of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), said the SEC is considering a potential waiver directive that would allow businesses to issue, trade, and settle securities using distributed ledger technology (DLT) and allow companies to trade eligible tokenized securities using innovative trading systems.
