ZachXBT: The "crime supercycle" in the cryptocurrency industry is intensifying

Cryptocurrency security researcher ZachXBT today issued a warning that the "crime supercycle" in the cryptocurrency industry is intensifying. The researcher pointed out that the industry's abuse has increased significantly since politicians launched memes and multiple legal cases were dropped. Money laundering groups have successfully dealt with the proceeds of hacking attacks on platforms such as Bybit, DMM Bitcoin, and WazirX. The black market on Tron is estimated to be as high as $50-10 billion, and the source of most of the funds is unknown. More worryingly, many protocol teams turn a blind eye to more than 50% of the activity from stolen funds and only charge fees; at the same time, there are no consequences for influencers and KOL cheating. ZachXBT warns that while the current environment may bring short-term benefits, the long-term impact is worrying.
