US President Donald Trump is expected to present a "last chance" package to Iran, US and European officials revealed on Monday, according to the Jerusalem Post. One official added that the new package could be a slight improvement over the one presented to Iran ten days ago. Iran has sought mediation with the Trump administration through Oman and Qatar to try to prevent an Israeli attack and resume nuclear talks, media reported on Sunday. Saudi Arabia is also pushing for a ceasefire behind the scenes through another channel. Trump confirmed earlier on Monday that Iran had contacted the US to demand a halt to Israeli air strikes. "It doesn't look like Iran has won the war and they have to negotiate sooner rather than later," Trump said in Canada.
