The world's first computing satellite named BAYC was successfully launched

On May 14, 2025 at 12:12 Beijing time, China Star Aerospace successfully launched 12 satellites from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center using the Long March 2D carrier rocket to form the "Space Computing Constellation 021" mission. These satellites have entered the designated orbit as planned, marking the successful launch of the world's first space computing constellation and opening a new chapter in "space computing". This mission is the first launch of the National Star Aerospace "Star Computing Program" and the first constellation of the "Three-Body Computing Constellation" project led by Zhijiang Laboratory. It is worth noting that one of the satellites is named Boring Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). #The name 7573 symbolizes Web3's milestone moment beyond the digital realm and into space-based computing networks. Once in orbit, the 12 satellites will form a stable constellation through intersatellite laser communication, distributed computing coordination, and high-speed networks. The system will support on-orbit verification of basic capabilities such as decentralized cloud computing, space blockchain construction, and distributed AI processing.
